House Republicans Again Back Rep. Cafero as Leader

by: bsundie Thursday, November 6th, 2008

House Republicans today unanimously backed State Rep. Lawrence F. Cafero Jr., of Norwalk for a second two-year term as Leader of the caucus. Cafero, who was first elected to the legislature in 1992, was easily returned to office on Nov. 4 He expressed sincere gratitude for the opportunity to lead the caucus and promised to renew efforts to advance the Republican agenda in Hartford. Cafero said spending restraints to eliminate the state budget deficit and creative ways to get Connecticut’s fiscal house in order are priorities. “House Republicans have worked tirelessly the last two years to offset large Democratic majorities in the legislature and we have made a huge difference in establishing our agenda. I promise to continue that work and am extremely grateful for the opportunity to once again lead our House Republican caucus,’’ Cafero said. The Norwalk Republican will begin his ninth term in the House in January.

The guy sitting in the row in front of these two… he’s on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores.

These are the folks that can’t get the budget out by Oct. 1, Seriously!!!
